Truecaller e privacy
La cessione più o meno consapevole dei dati da parte degli utenti
“Truecaller” è un’app che ti consente di leggere il nome di chi ti chiama anche se non è salvato nella tua rubrica. Come? sfruttando il data-base composto dai dati che gli stessi utenti, che scaricano l’app,regalano alla società.
Alcune porzioni di testo della Privacy Policy:
1.”If You provide us with personal information about someone else, You confirm that they are aware that You have provided their information and that they consent to our use of their information according to our Privacy Policy“.
2.”Additional information that may be provided at Your option include, but is not limited to, photo, gender, street address and zip code, country of residence, email address, professional website, Facebook page, Twitter address and a short status message. Truecaller may supplement the information provided by You with information from third parties and add it to the information provided by You e.g. demographic information and additional contact information that is publicly available”.
3. “Information collected within the European Economic Area (“EEA”) may, for example, be transferred to and processed in a country outside of the EEA,which may not provide the same level of protection for personal data as within the EEA. You acknowledge and agree that Truecaller may transfer Your personal information as described above for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy“.
4. “We use aggregated or anonymized personal information for statistical and analytical purposes. We may come to share such data with third parties”
